Summer Bridge Program for Incoming 9th Graders

Hello Future Spencer High School Students & Parents,

William H. Spencer High School is hosting its annual Summer Bridge Program open to all incoming 9th graders who are assigned to Spencer High School. This is a great opportunity for students to become connected with the school in order to ease the transition into 9th grade.  Opportunities for remediation and/or acceleration for all students will be provided.

Join us for an exciting time of learning that includes food, fun, fellowship and door prizes!

Where? William H. Spencer High School

When? Summer Bridge for upcoming 9th graders will be July 16-July 19, 2018, Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-12:00pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students!

What’s in it for students? The Summer Bridge program is designed to provide fun, academically challenging activities that will give the class of 2023 an opportunity to learn about William H. Spencer High School and to experience what the Mighty Greenwave will offer in preparing them for graduation, college, and career!  Summer Bridge participants will become familiar with the school, meet the teachers and other incoming freshmen and be introduced to important skills that will help them have a successful freshman year.

Assistant Principal Jones Retires

Assistant Principal Jones Retires

Assistant Principal Jeffery Jones will be leaving Spencer at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year. Faculty and Staff celebrated Mr. Jones’ at a Luau luncheon held in the school’s cafeteria on Thursday, May 24th. Mr. Jones has worked in education for the past 15 years. He will be missed by everyone in the Greenwave Nation.

Congratulations to Dr. Keisha Cook on her appointment as Assistant Principal of William H. Spencer High School. Dr. Cook was formerly employed as a SIG administrator at Spencer. She will be replacing Assistant Principal Jeffery Jones, upon his retirement.
