The WORKS (Working On Refocusing, Redirecting, Realigning Kids Successfully) program is a restorative justice based program currently in use in several public schools and systems in
Georgia. The stated purposes of the program are to improve the relationship between school and home through parental involvement, implement strategies to improve teacher – student
relationships and to implement alternatives to suspension and strategies to improve student behavior and decrease the amount of instructional time lost.

Parent and Family Engagement Policy

Parent and family engagement is the participation of parents in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities. In support of strengthening student academic achievement, the Muscogee County School District (MCSD) has developed the Parent and Family Engagement Policy that establishes the district’s expectations for parent and family engagement and guides the strategies and resources that strengthen school and parent partnerships in the district’s Title I schools. Title I is a federally funded program that provides funds to schools with high percentages of economically disadvantaged students to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic content and academic standards.

Recruitment Banquet

On Tuesday, October 3^rd, 12 of our seniors attended the Tuskegee-Morehouse College Recruitment Banquet.  The Tuskegee-Morehouse Columbus Committee, Inc. sponsors a College Recruitment Banquet in conjunction with the annual Tuskegee-Morehouse Football Classic.  The purpose is to acquaint interested high school seniors to the collegiate programs at Tuskegee University, Morehouse College and Spelman College in an effort to guide them in their college search process.
