Medicaid Unwinding Information for Families

Due to recent changes with the Medicaid Program, Georgia is required to redetermine eligibility for approximately 2.7 million Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members. Every Georgia Medicaid member must respond to requests for required information in a timely manner. This redetermination process began in April 2023 and will run through May 2024.

 Please review the information and resources below to determine how you can assist in providing information to families within your school district to ensure they are prepared for eligibility checks. We encourage you to seek creative ways to share this information with parents and families to ensure the continuity of healthcare coverage for Georgia’s children – consider emailing or robocalling parents and caregivers with information or including applicable materials as part of your back-to-school events.
