We are approaching the 2022-2023 school year and I am so excited. I wanted to start off by introducing myself. My name is Danielle Ernst. I am the new principal at North Columbus Elementary. This is my 15th year serving the Muscogee County School District. This year starts my fourth year as a principal.I look forward to meeting everyone and having a wonderful school year. I know the online process has been a little more difficult than in the past. If you cannot get your registration figured out, please call the school or come in for assistance.Verification day will be Wednesday, August 3rd from 8 am – 3 pm. When you come, you will have one additional form to fill out. I have attached the student registration form to this email and it is also on our website to complete in advance. I would recommend bringing the form already filled out.Due to the large population of students, for us to make this process smooth, we will need to help ensure all required forms are complete before the day of verification. If you want to complete this process early, we will accommodate you. Wednesday will be the day students can meet their teachers, but if you want to avoid long lines and feel comfortable letting your child meet their teacher the first day of school, you can come any time before verification day to get fully registered with car tags etc.
Afterschool Care is offered. We take our first 70 applicants who turn in their registration packet by Friday, July 29th @ 9am. By the end of the day Friday, we will do a lottery of 50 kids and notify parents of their acceptance by the end of the day. You can return the packet electronically to me if that is more convenient. The $25 registration fee will be due at verification to solidify their spot.
Attached are the school supply lists by grade, registration form, and After School Program Packet. We have these copies at school, too.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
