Congratulations to Mrs. Perkins for being selected as our April Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Perkins wears many different hats at VMMS. She serves as the department chair for math, a member of the leadership team, head of the safety team, NJHS sponsor, and teaches two high school credit classes! We are glad to have Mrs. Perkins at Veterans Memorial!

Congratulations to Mrs. Abner for being selected as our March Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Abner works with our MOID classes and truly loves her students. She serves as a sponsor of our student government association in addition to mentoring new teachers. Congratulations again Mrs. Abner! Rangers Lead the Way!

Congratulations to Mrs. Shaheer for being selected as our February Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Shaheer is a key member of our VMMS team. She serves as team 7-1’s lead, a member of the leadership team, chair of the Black History Month committee, sponsor of mock trials, and assistant cheerleading coach to name a few! Her students noted that she is caring, motivating, and is able to connect with them. Congratulations again Mrs. Shaheer! Rangers Lead the Way!

Congratulations to Mrs. Herlihy for being selected as our January Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Herlihy is a vital part of Veterans Memorial. She serves as the 8th grade lead, is a valuable member of the leadership team, NJHS sponsor, assists with BETA club, and is willing to help wherever needed. Mrs. Herlihy’s knowledge and wealth of experience contributes to the overall school culture. Congratulations again Mrs. Herlihy!

Congratulations to Mrs. Scarbrough for being selected as our December Teacher of the Month! She was nominated by several of her peers for this award. Mrs. Scarbrough is an instrumental part of Veterans Memorial as a teacher and leader. She serves as a team leader, science department chair, robotics coach, a member of the leadership team, and a member of the PBIS committee. Mrs. Scarbrough has also been at Veterans Memorial since the school opened in 2007.
