Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment provides opportunities for high school students to enroll in post-secondary institutions to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously.  Approved college on-line courses can also be taken that meet high school graduation requirements.  Funding for Dual Enrollment is provided through the local school system’s equivalent (FTE) program count as determined by the Georgia Department of Education.  Summer school is now allowed for Dual Enrollment participation.

How to participate in Dual Enrollment:     **Student must be enrolled at Northside before scheduling a meeting! **

  • Schedule a meeting to discuss the guidelines and responsibilities of the program before May 15, 2020 or the student will not be able to participate in Dual Enrollment.
  • During this meeting you will sign the required documentation and Northside will approve your potential classes
  • Use this link to sign up for a dual enrollment meeting with Mrs. Redondo- https://calendly.com/ashleyredondo/demeeting
  • Apply to the college of choice through GAFutures.org.
  • When you log into your account go to the college planning tab, find the college, and click apply.  You will then be routed to that school’s website to apply
  • Request Northside to send your transcript to the college for which you are applying
  • Send ACT or SAT test scores to the college for which you are applying.
