Anatomy Club
Anatomy Club was established in January of 2015 by Lindsey Horton, a senior interested in the medical field. Ms. Huff, our anatomy teacher, agreed to sponsor, student interest was overwhelming, and the first meeting was held in February. There are no dues or fees required or attendance requirements. Students in all grades are welcome to attend any and all meetings in which they are interested.
The goal of the anatomy club is to expose students to the many avenues in the medical world. Our meetings consist of lab experiments, dissections or guest speakers upon student request. Students are given the opportunity to dissect specimens, explore circulation, respiration, digestion, and kidney function through lab experimentation, and hear first hand from surgeons, doctors, nurse practitioners, RNs/LPNs, EMT, Firefighters, massage therapists, and more who are invited to speak.
