Congratulations to Woodall Program’s 2020 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Wendye Melzar !

Ms. Wendye Melzar was also our 2018 Teacher of the Year and a Golden Apple Award Recipient

Wendye Melzar has taught in both regular and special education for over 20 years with the motto, “anyone can learn”.  She earned her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.  Wendye’s sincere and patient demeanor has allowed her the opportunity to impact children of all ages.  It is her continuous pursuit of knowledge that makes her both a great educator and community leader.  When Wendye is not helping families of the Chattahoochee Valley, she is continuing the legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune through her work with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
