Getting Ready for Verification Day 7.28.26
Georgetown Families,
It is almost time for verification! Remember, you must complete online registration BEFORE Verification Day. This includes uploading all required documents and signing all online forms. Students will not be assigned to a teacher until Online Registration and Verification are complete.
STEP 1:
Complete Online Registration.

Write down your Online Registration “OLR number” to bring on Verification Day.
Updated affidavits of residency must be completed every school year for families who are staying with another resident in Georgetown’s school zone. Please call our office at (706) 565-2980 to schedule an appointment with Ms. Sumbry or Mrs. Craddick. You must bring two current proofs of address as detailed in the Online Registration process. The person listed on the address must also be present for the affidavit appointment.
STEP 2:
AFTER you complete the 26-27 online registration, you can apply for 26-27 bus transportation. Addresses, phone numbers, and e-mails must be updated through Online Registration before applying for transportation. Your bus request must be submitted no later than July 15 to secure a bus seat for the first day of school.

STEP 3:
Plan to attend Verification Day on Tuesday, July 28. Families who have completed all STEPS can qualify for a FAST PASS. Complete the last 4 attached forms early and bring them with your OLR number on July 28 to skip the line to process your verification. You may also come by the school between 8:30 am – 1:00 pm to pick up copies of these forms if you cannot print them out.

That leaves over 200 students who are not registered! We need your help! Please spread the word to your neighbors and friends to make sure that they register their child as soon as possible.
