Wendye Melzar has taught in both regular and special education for over 20 years with the motto, \u201canyone can learn<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 She earned her Master\u2019s in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.\u00a0 Wendye\u2019s sincere and patient demeanor has allowed her the opportunity to impact children of all ages.\u00a0 It is her continuous pursuit of knowledge that makes her both a great educator and community leader.\u00a0 When Wendye is not helping families of the Chattahoochee Valley, she is continuing the legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune through her work with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).<\/p>\n \u201cWe have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends.\u201d\u00a0 ~<\/strong>Mary McLeod Bethune~<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Congratulations to Woodall Program’s 2020 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Wendye Melzar !
