Anatomy Club was established in January of 2015 by Lindsey Horton, a senior interested in the medical field. \u00a0Ms. Huff, our anatomy teacher, agreed to sponsor,\u00a0student interest was overwhelming, and\u00a0the first meeting was held in February. \u00a0There are no dues or fees required or attendance requirements. \u00a0Students in all grades are welcome to attend any and all meetings in which they are interested.<\/p>\n
The goal of the anatomy club is to expose students to the many avenues\u00a0in the medical world. \u00a0Our meetings consist of lab experiments, dissections or guest speakers upon student request. \u00a0Students are given the opportunity to dissect specimens, explore circulation, respiration, digestion, and\u00a0kidney function through lab experimentation, and hear first hand from surgeons,\u00a0doctors, nurse practitioners, RNs\/LPNs, EMT, Firefighters, massage therapists, and more who\u00a0are invited to speak.<\/p>\n
