10 half-day Saturday Seminars (once per month during the first academic year)<\/li>\n
30 hours of Field Experiences<\/li>\n
4 to 5 TAPP Supervisor coaching cycles\/formal observations<\/li>\n
4 Candidate Support Team meetings<\/li>\n
MCSD Induction requirements<\/li>\n
Additional requirements as determined by TAPP personnel or the Candidate Support Team (CST)<\/li>\n
Additional requirements per the PSC for the certification the candidate is seeking.<\/li>\n
All candidates enrolled on or after July 1, 2025 must pass the appropriate Literacy GACE prior to exiting TAPP.<\/li>\n
Special Education inter-related candidates must pass the GACE (735) for Special Education General Curriculum prior to exiting TAPP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Along with meeting the program of study requirements, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in 12 teacher dispositions and 24 competencies in order to exit TAPP.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Candidate Support Team (CST)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Candidate Support Team (CST) is designed to provide support and supervision as well as evaluation throughout the course of the program.\u00a0 Members of the CST will provide guidance, and assistance with instructional design and implementation, conduct observations, and assess the professional growth of their teacher candidate.<\/p>\n

School-based administrator who conducts the teacher’s evaluation<\/li>\n
School-based Teacher Support Coach (TSC) or mentor\n

When a TSC is infield of the candidate, the TSC also serves as the in-content mentor.\u00a0 If\u00a0 a TSC is not in the same field as the candidate, an additional in-field content mentor should be assigned.<\/li>\n
If a TSC is not assigned or available at the school, an in-field content mentor is assigned without a TSC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
