Our 2025-26 theme is Building a Winning Culture from Vision to Action.<\/p>\n<p>Daily, I strive to support teachers in delivering rigorous and engaging instruction, encourage students to embrace their potential, and ensure that our school remains a safe, inclusive, and vibrant place to learn. Together, we provide engineering experiences using an inquiry-based curriculum that embraces student creativity and teaches critical thinking and reasoning skills.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for entrusting your child\u2019s education to us. I hold a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Huntingdon College and Master&#8217;s Degree and Educational Specialist Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University at Phenix City. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th\/6th (Jumpstart). I transitioned from the classroom into a leadership role as a Reading Coach, District Reading Coach, and then joined the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education. At ADECE, I served in several roles-First Class Pre-K Monitor, Professional Development Specialist, and Region Director. Most recently, I worked with the Alabama Reading Initiative as a Regional Literacy Specialist. My goal as an Academic Coach is to create a cultivating learning community that is inclusive of all faculty and staff\u2019s individual needs while encouraging teachers to reach their full potential. I am passionate about mentoring and supporting teachers with strategies to enhance their unique learning characteristics, interests, and capabilities through rigor, collaboration, and gradual release. As an Academic Coach, I have the opportunity to help our teachers develop a deeper appreciation of the learning content while encouraging our teachers to utilize best practices, implement personalized learning for students, and incorporate district programs to increase student achievement.
