The\u00a0IB\u00a0Primary Years\u00a0Programme\u00a0(PYP) for children aged 3 \u2013 12 nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. Clubview was the first PYP IB World School in Georgia. We have successfully maintained this program since 2006.<\/p>\n
The PYP offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding.\u00a0<\/strong>It is a student-centered approach to education for children.\u00a0It reflects the best of educational research, thought leadership and experience derived from IB World Schools. The PYP has evolved to become a world leader in future-focused education. The PYP is an example of best educational practice globally, responding to the challenges and opportunities facing young students in our rapidly changing world.<\/p>\n The framework emphasizes the central principle of agency, which underpins the three pillars of school life: the learner, learning and teaching, and the learning community. Embedded in the framework is the recognition of the importance of fostering an individual\u2019s self-efficacy. Students with a strong sense of self-efficacy are active in their own learning and take action in their learning community.<\/p>\n The PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in school and in the world beyond. These themes are about issues that have meaning for, and are important to, all of us. The program offers a balance between learning about or through the subject areas, and learning beyond them. The six themes of global significance create a transdisciplinary framework that allows students to \u201cstep up\u201d beyond the confines of learning within subject areas:<\/p>\n The program puts great emphasis on learning about these transdisciplinary themes. Each theme is addressed each year by all students in grades K-5. Pre-Kindergarten students will explore four themes. The traditional disciplines retain a role in the IB Primary Years Program. The six specified subjects are: language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, personal, social and physical education. Students must be responsible for their Chromebook at all times.\u00a0 To be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, students must be accountable for caring for their Chromebook and not damaging it in any
