Spencer High students kicked off Technology Week with a Hour of Code and Magnet celebration held on Wednesday, December 6th. During the celebration, students were introduced to Ozobots, Bloxels and a beginning coding lesson. The purpose of the celebration was to 1. Allow our community and industry partners to develop relationships with Spencer High’s magnet students and; 2. Allow Magnet students to have a special time set aside for them to highlight their uniqueness and value. After lunch the magnet students enjoyed a celebration where they further explored the various technologies including virtual reality glasses and software, robots and snacks. The day couldn’t have been a success without our team members (TSYS partners, Barnes and Noble, Boy Scouts Explorers program, and Spencer High’s faculty and staff). It was indeed a great day.
