We are currently recruiting students for our outstanding Academy of Computer Science and Electronic Game Design Magnet Program! The application process is currently Open. You will need to log in with an MCSD user account to begin the process. If you are a current student or guardian of an MCSD student, you may use your Infinite Campus Portal login to streamline the process. Drama Club Wins 2nd Place

Drama Club Wins 2nd Place

Congratulations to our Drama Department for taking home the second-place trophy in Barnesville, Georgia for the one-act play “Oh What a Tangled Web.”  Congratulations to Mia Freeman for winning Most Improved, Kashari Peterson for winning Most Dedicated, and Crystal Patton for Director’s Choice and One of  Top 4 from the judges. Thank you to their dedicated coach and sponsor Mrs. Cheri Mitchell.

Greenwave Poetry Slam Club

Greenwave Poetry Slam Club

On Wednesday, the Greenwave Poetry Slam Club met with Mr. Jonathan Perkins, the founder of  Fountain City Poetry Slam. During this session the members shared their creative writing pieces and discussed ideas for improvement. Last year, several Spencer students participated in the final rounds of the city Poetry Slam competition. Member Kashari Peterson, represented Spencer in the Nationals in San Francisco. The group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. New members are always welcome.
