Dear Parents or Guardians,
As we move closer to the fourth quarter of the 2020/2021 school year, we are busy making plans for the administration of Georgia’s End-of-Grade and End-of-Course assessments know as Georgia Milestones, or GMAS. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in these tests that are designed to let students and parents know the extent to which the student is prepared for the next level of instruction. Scores from GMAS are also used to plan for classroom instruction in the future. The testing window for GMAS is April 26 through May 3, 2021. Please advise us of your intent to participation in GMAS testing by clicking here to complete the GA Milestones Testing Declaration of Intent Survey.
In preparation for the administration of GMAS, our school needs to determine the participation of our virtual students. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our highest priority as we continue to navigate through the pandemic this year. We will continue to implement all safety protocols from the CDC and Department of Public Health to help protect our students. Transportation to and from the schools where testing will take place will be available as needed or requested. Your child is currently identified as a student receiving their instruction virtually through the MCSD Choice Model, and we value the decision you have made for your child to remain virtual. Therefore, we are attempting to contact parents/guardians in an effort to determine whether your child will participate for this in-person assessment.
