8/23/2016 – Teacher of the Month – August
Jennifer Robinson

To be selected as Shaw’s Teacher of the Month is a distinguished honor among an extraordinarily talented and dedicated faculty.  For over ten years, this month’s recipient has exuded enthusiasm and passion in the classroom designing engaging learning plans and building relationships with students.  However, her influence extends beyond the walls of her classroom domain as she sponsors several extracurricular organizations and assumed an even more challenging role this year, competition cheerleading coach. She has actively pursued professional growth for herself and colleagues even to the point of coordinating a district professional learning community of sorts for her content.  Furthermore, each year she has willingly assumed the tedious task of creating a video of memories to share with our graduates and parents which is indeed a labor of love.  It is with great Raider Pride to announce the Shawsome Teacher of the Month for August 2016 as Mrs. Jennifer Robinson.

8/19/2016 – Volleyball continued a very successful start to the season Monday evening @ Shaw with a sweep of Pike County, followed by two more HUGE wins last night @ Callaway over Callaway and Harris County. If you see any of the Volleyball girls in the hall, or Coach Mitchell, make sure to congratulate them on a job well done.

8/15/2016 – Congratulations to Coach Mitchell, his staff and the rest of the Volleyball team on a very busy and successful weekend. Thursday night they traveled to Upson Lee High School, where the Varsity went 1-1 and the JV went 2-0.

Saturday the Varsity Volleyball team competed in the Southside Classic Invitation in Locust Grove.  After dropping their first 2 matches, they battled back to win 4 straight matches and claim the CHAMPIONSHIP in the Silver division!

Great job Volleyball!!

8/12/2016 – Congratulations to Coach McInroy, her staff and the rest of the Softball team for their season opening 21-20 victory over Kendrick earlier this week. Keep it up!

8/12/2016 – Congratulations to Coach Mitchell, his staff and the rest of the Volleyball team for sweeping Spencer (3-0, in a best of 5 match) in their season opening contest. This also marks Coach Mitchell’s first victory as a Volleyball head coach!
