Work-based Learning

Work-based learning allows students the opportunity to work in particular fields in alignment with any CTAE pathways taken. Students are also granted the opportunity to interact with professionals who have worked in it for years. This type of experience can help students make decisions about their long-term career goals, as well as gain experience that reinforces academic instruction.

S.T.E.M Careers

Students benefit from exposure to careers in fields of interest and that align with their chosen pathway. Careers in S.T.E.M assists students with implementing employability skills learned within their CTAE classes. Participating in WBL, students learn how to:

  • solving the same problem in multiple ways
  • use their abilities to think, create, logic, problem solve, collaborate (also known as leadership skills)
  • implement critical thinking and reasoning skills
