Information regarding school and transportation registration.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

New online registration application features COVID-19 re-opening options

WHEN: 8:00 a.m., July 3, 2020- 5:00 p.m., July 17, 2020*

*Registration is an on-going process throughout the year. However, the school choice options related to the COVID-19 re-opening plan must be declared by 5:00 p.m., July 17, 2020.

WHERE: Online–the District’s website

WHAT:

The Disrict will accept registration applications online starting 8:00 a.m., July 3, 2020 for the 2020-2021 school year.
The online registration application features a section for you to declare each of your student’s preferences for either in-person or virtual instruction per the COVID-19 re-opening plan.
Preferences must be declared within the application by 5:00 p.m., July 17, 2020.
Each declared preference will be reviewed to complete enrollment at each school site.
The online application will not complete enrollment; all student assignments will be finalized based upon each student’s verified household address per the annual District-wide Verification Day, August 5, 2020.
IMPORTANT: Once confirmed, each option will be applicable for the duration of a full nine-week grading period or semester (block schedule). Upon acceptance, changes to each option cannot occur until the next grading period.
HOW:

New student registration:

Who: students who are not currently enrolled in the District and/or students who were enrolled during a previous school year but withdrew
Required documentation for each student:
Student’s birth certificate
Student’s Social Security card or waiver
Withdrawal form and transcripts or last report card from previous school district
Two proofs of residency with the parents/legal guardians’ full name and address:
Currently lease and/or mortgage
Current utility bill
Parents/legal guardians’ identification (driver’s license, state-issued I.D., passport, or military I.D.)
GA Immunization Form (3231) or waiver form giving more time to get form 3231
GA Eye, Ear & Dental Form (3300) or waiver form more time to get form 3300
Returning students:

Who: students who were enrolled during the 2019-2020 school year and are returning for the 2020-2021 school year

Required documentation for each student:
Two proofs of residency with the parents/legal guardians’ full name and address:
Currently lease and/or mortgage
Current utility bill
Parents/legal guardians’ identification (driver’s license, state-issued I.D., passport, or military I.D.)
If you need assistance with completing the online application, contact your students’ assigned schools or Central Registration: centralregistration@muscogee.k12.ga.us, 706-748-2000. Central Registration will offer appointment-based in-person assistance upon request.

If you or your students are experiencing homelessness, please contact our McKinney-Vento department, 706-748-2276 or 706-575-1676, to complete registration for the 2020-2021 school year.

Transportation Registration

Transportation – Transportation Request
**ATTENTION:

Before submitting a transportation request, ensure student information is updated with the Muscogee County School District central registration office or their school of attendance. It takes approximately 24 hours for information to update in the student database after student information is submitted.

Before submitting your transportation request, please read the following:

Not all parents need to submit a transportation request. If your student falls under any criteria listed below, then you would not need to request transportation.

If the student is new to the school district and attending school within the attendance zone will be automatically routed.
If the student is returning to the same school and resides at the same address will be automatically routed.
If the student is attending a new school and resides within the attendance zone will be automatically routed.
Please submit a transportation request for the following reasons:

If family has relocated to a new address and is requesting transportation based on a new address within attendance zone.
If students attended a different school from the previous year, i.e. magnet school and/or programs and prekindergarten success centers.
Please submit a transportation request for ALL students requiring transportation, siblings WILL NOT be automatically routed.

For Special Needs transportation, please contact the Program for Exceptional Service Department (Special Education) at 706-748-2230, located at Muscogee County Public Education Center.

For English to Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL), please contact Federal Programs at 706-748-2154, located at Muscogee County Board of Education Center.

For McKenney-Vento programs, please contact Program for Exceptional Service Department (Guidance Services) at 706-748-2276, located at Muscogee County Board of Education Center.

For PreKindergarten Information, please contact Early Success Center at 706-748-2118, located at Muscogee County Board of Education Center.
